Our long-awaited cultural event becomes reality: we'll have a day-trip to Bern and visit of the May 68 exhibition at the Bernisches Historisches Museum: http://www.bhm.ch/de/1968/
The uprisings of May 1968 let a wind of freedom blow through Europe. For the 50th anniversary of these striking events, let's do a time travel and take a closer look at the important concerns and achievements of the youth of that time: pacifism, democracy, protests against conservative values, decoupling sexuality from reproduction. That was an important step forward for the gay community as well as modern society.
On Saturday 14 April 2018, we are taking the train at 13:02 (IC 8) from Zurich to Bern. Arrival in Bern at 14:09. We will walk through the beautiful old town and arrive at the museum at about 14:45. The guided tour - in English - starts at 15:00 and lasts one hour. Then we can spend some more time in the exhibition or go for a coffee. In Bern, we can admire the Bundeshaus, the Kindlifresserbrunnen and chill out at the famous Bärenpark, along the river, and finally have dinner together if we wish.
Z&H will cover the costs for the museum entrance and the guided tour. Travel expenses and extras have to be paid by the participants.
Please sign up on the Doodle form no later than 15 April. The number of participants is limited to 20. First come first served. We look forward to seeing you.
